The award category is for the games playable on mobile phones and handheld gaming devices.
The Game Awards 2016 will take place on December 1 which is still far away, but fans have started speculating on the winner. Fans of nominated games have started discussing which games might win. Players can also support their favorite game by visiting the show’s official website.
WHICH GAME MIGHT WIN?
Pokemon GO is one of the highly entertaining mobile games of the year. Released on July 6, the game is already available in many regions, and developer Niantic is working on taking it to more countries worldwide. On the other hand, Clash Royale from Supercell also have many followers worldwide. Other titles are also strong contenders for this award battle, but one thing that makesPokemon GO stand out is its popularity and appreciation no other mobile game has received.
Within a few days of launch, the game topped the store charts on Android and iOS as well. Although the other titles in the category have seen exceptional growth and popularity, none of them reached such milestones. On a Reddit thread, Clash Royale fans say that Pokemon GO would not win as it is had a lot of issues since the day it was launched.
As none of the games is perfect, Supercell has also seen a lot of criticism regarding the Clash Royale gameplay. Now that the games are being improved often by the developers, it would be interesting to see who wins the award this year as two of the nominated games are from Nintendo itself. The Game Award show will be broadcasted live from Microsoft Theatre Los Angeles.
